This vital role involves providing attentive, respectful, and personalized assistance to promote independence, safety, and well-being. You will work closely with clients in various settings such as assisted living facilities, home care environments, group homes, or nursing homes, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patient health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; observe and report changes in condition Support medication administration following proper protocols and HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to assist with mobility and prevent injury during transfers Follow individualized care plans created by healthcare professionals to deliver consistent and effective support Document patient observations accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations; communicate effectively with team members about patient status Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a positive environment for residents or clients Support clients during community outings or social activities to promote engagement and quality of life Qualifications & Skills Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes; familiarity with long-term care environments preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of client information Ability to assist with ADLs efficiently while maintaining dignity and respect for clients' independence Skilled in basic caregiving tasks such as meal preparation, light cleaning. Certifications in CPR and First Aid; experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care is a plus Compassionate attitude combined with excellent communication skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting clients with mobility needs; patience and adaptability are essential Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication transforms lives!
