Responsibilities :
As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) with Atlas Care, you'll provide essential, person‑centered support to individuals living with disabilities, chronic illness, or age‑related needs. Our caregivers are the heart of our agency, and your compassion, reliability, and professionalism help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes. Provide personalized assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility support Assist with safe ambulation and transfers, using equipment such as gait belts, Hoyer lifts, or client‑specific mobility devices Monitor client well‑being by observing changes in condition, reporting concerns promptly, and maintaining accurate, HIPAA‑compliant care documentation Support medication reminders and help implement individualized care plans under appropriate supervision Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal service while following dietary restrictions and safety guidelines Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning client areas, organizing personal items, and maintaining a safe, tidy environment Provide companionship, emotional support, and engagement in social or cognitive activities to promote mental and emotional well‑being Assist with additional tasks such as laundry, errands, and community participation as outlined in the care plan We believe exceptional care starts with exceptional people. Requirements:
Reliable transportation to travel to client homes across Greensboro and nearby surrounding areas Basic knowledge of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including how to safely support bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility Understanding of safe transfer techniques, including the ability to use gait belts, Hoyer lifts, or other mobility devices (or willingness to learn) Ability to observe and report changes in client condition and maintain accurate, HIPAA‑compliant care notes Familiarity with medication reminders and following individualized care plans under supervision Basic meal preparation skills, including the ability to follow simple dietary guidelines and assist clients during meals Ability to perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning client areas, organizing personal items, and completing laundry Strong interpersonal and companionship skills, including the ability to engage clients in conversation, social activities, or cognitive exercises Comfort assisting with errands, community outings, and other non‑medical support tasks as outlined in the care plan
