Full-time Job Summary:

A Caring Heart Case Management is seeking a compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in a group home setting. The DSP will assist with daily living activities, personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, and community engagement while fostering a safe and supportive environment.

Schedule:

Monday•

Friday:

11:00 PM•7:00 AM Every other weekend required

What You'll Do:

Support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities Assist with daily activities, personal care, and community involvement Provide encouragement and companionship

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with at least 3 years of driving experience A heart for helping others

All training will be provided by A Caring Heart Case Management, Inc. Our direct support services help individuals learn, retain, or improve skills toward becoming independent. Skill-building areas include self-care, household maintenance, communication skills, money management, community inclusion, mobility, employment, and self-regulation. Are you able to physically push, pull, and lift 25 pounds unassisted on a regular basis, and up to 100 pounds occasionally? Are you comfortable assisting individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) after receiving training? These tasks may include but are not limited to: Personal Care, Mobility Support, Meal Preparation & Feeding, Toileting & Continence Care, and/or Household Tasks. Would you be comfortable performing these essential duties as part of your role? Please describe your experience working with individuals that are in the IDD populations.
