Personal Care Assistant

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in home care and a strong understanding of the unique needs of clients with disabilities, autism, or memory care requirements. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Provide medication administration and ensure adherence to prescribed schedules. Monitor patients' health by observing changes in their condition and reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences. Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' mental well-being. Assist with mobility and physical activities to promote independence. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met. Document patient care activities accurately and maintain confidentiality at all times. Qualifications Previous experience in home care or a related field is preferred but not required Knowledge of working with individuals with autism or disabilities is highly desirable. Familiarity with memory care techniques and patient observation skills. Ability to administer medications safely and effectively. Strong communication skills to interact positively with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with patient care, including lifting or transferring clients when necessary.
