Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Rocky Mount, NC Position Overview A Caring Heart Case Management, Inc. is seeking a dependable and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide individualized, person-centered support to an adolescent participant in our Rocky Mount day program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate patience, consistency, and an understanding of developmental and behavioral needs. Experience working with adolescents with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred. The DSP will provide supervision and support throughout the day and transport the participant to and from home and community activities. Position Details Part-time Paid mileage Training provided by A Caring Heart Case Management, Inc. Support Needs & Responsibilities Ongoing monitoring and supervision to ensure safety and engagement throughout the day program and during community outings Assistance with hygiene and personal care routines (as appropriate to developmental level and privacy guidelines) Behavioral support and redirection, following established behavior strategies and QP guidance Transport the participant to the day program in the morning and return them home to Rocky Mount at 2:00 PM Assist with daily activities, recreational activities, and community participation Maintain a safe, structured environment that promotes independence and well-being Assist with occasional respite trips (including monthly trips to New Bern, as assigned) Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Must be at least 18 years old Valid driver's license with at least 3 years of driving experience Reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred If you meet the requirements listed above and enjoy mentoring and helping others, we are excited to talk with you about a job opportunity!To pick up an application:

Are you able to physically push, pull, or lift 25 pounds, unassisted, on a regular basis and up to 100 pounds unassisted occasionally? Are you comfortable assisting individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) after receiving training? These tasks may include but are not limited to: Personal Care, Mobility Support, Meal Preparation & Feeding, Toileting & Continence Care, and/or Household Tasks. Would you be comfortable performing these essential duties as part of your role?Training Requirements:
This position requires successful completion of four paid training days (including Onboarding, in-person CPR/First Aid or Safety Care sessions, and one at-home Relias module). Training days may not be consecutive, and travel up to one hour may be required depending on the location. Compensation is provided if travel is required and attendance is confirmed.
