In this vital role, you will provide attentive assistance, monitor health and safety, and foster a warm, respectful environment for residents an assisted living settings. Your proactive approach and caring nature will help promote independence and improve quality of life for those you serve. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary restrictions and assist residents during meal times to promote independence Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs safely to assist with transfers and mobility needs Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to infection control protocols Observe and document behavioral changes or health concerns related to conditions like dementia or developmental disabilities Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, HIPAA compliance training are required; additional certifications in Alzheimer's care, dementia care, or hospice care are a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed for resident support Strong communication skills with a compassionate attitude toward individuals with disabilities or special needs Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is advantageous A valid driver's license and clean driving record may be required for certain roles involving community-based care Join us to provide exceptional care that enriches lives!
