Job Description

Job Overview Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals requiring support with daily activities. This rewarding position involves providing personalized care, fostering independence, and ensuring safety in various settings such as residential facilities, assisted living communities, or clients' homes. Your energetic and dedicated approach will help create a warm, supportive environment that promotes dignity and well-being for those in your care. All positions are paid, reflecting the value of your essential contributions. Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and observe patients' health status, noting vital signs and behavioral changes to inform care plans Support medication administration and ensure adherence to prescribed treatments in compliance with HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking as needed Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, sanitation, and organization of living spaces Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges Document care activities accurately in accordance with care plans and healthcare standards, including patient observations and progress notes Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living, home health, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration Certifications such as CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid are required; additional certifications like HIPAA training are a plus Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, dementia (including Alzheimer's and memory care), or hospice care is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physical tasks involving residents or equipment Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams, residents, families, and social workers Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful, person-centered care Join us in making a meaningful difference every day!
