Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Evening shifts

Independent Habilitation Job Summary:
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides compassionate, hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them live safe, meaningful, and independent lives. This part-time evening position focuses on assisting individuals with daily routines, personal care, and community or program preparation in a respectful, person-centered manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist individuals with evening routines including hygiene, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation in their homes. Promote independence, dignity, and choice in all activities. Provide transportation from day programs or community activities as needed. Maintain accurate documentation. Support skill development, communication, and positive social interactions. Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment. Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established procedures. Work collaboratively with Supervisors, Program Coordinators, families, and team members. Have fun!
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred. Must be an eligible driver for RRHSF (at least 25 years old, valid driver's license, & driven for 5+ years) and have a reliable, insured vehicle Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and complete ongoing training requirements. Strong communication skills, patience, and a compassionate, respectful attitude. Must also have every other weekend availability.

Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Effective communication skills. Ability to follow care plans and agency policies. Strong problem-solving skills.
