Working as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with Development Homes, Inc. is a meaningful opportunity to support individuals with disabilities in living full, independent lives. From sharing meals to supporting community activities, you help create a safe and welcoming environment where every individual is respected and empowered. Find the Schedule That Fits You We offer a variety of DSP positions designed to fit your lifestyle: Full-time Part-time Awake Night shifts Sleep Night shifts Our HR team works with you to find a schedule that aligns with your availability while meeting the needs of the individuals we support. What you will do Your day-to-day work will vary based on the needs of the individuals you support.
Responsibilities may include:
Personal care support Assist with hygiene routines such as bathing, grooming, and dressing, while maintaining dignity and respect Toileting assistance Provide support as needed, ensuring comfort and privacy at all times Household support Help maintain a clean and organized home through tasks like laundry, dishes, and general cleaning. Assist with cooking, meal planning, and feeding when needed. Administer medications in accordance with established policies and procedures. Accurately document progress, concerns, and daily activities. Support participation in activities such as Special Olympics, UND events, music therapy, arts and crafts, and community outings. Qualifications Meal preparation Medication administration Documentation Community engagement High school diploma or GED required Must be at least 18 years of age Additional Requirements Successful completion of criminal background, child abuse, and neglect checks Pre-employment drug screening Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and an insurable driving record Pay and Benefits Starting wage of $21.00 per hour $1.00/hour weekend differential (Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 am to 10:00 pm) $1.00/hour overnight differential (Nightly from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am) Comprehensive benefits package includes: 100% employer-paid single health and dental coverage Vision insurance Life insurance 401(k) with 4% employer match Paid sick and vacation leave Educational scholarships Employee Assistance Program through The Village Why join DHI At DHI, we are committed to supporting both the individuals we serve and the employees who make that work possible.
