Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support clients in engaging with community activities and social interactions to promote independence and social skills. Implement behavior management strategies tailored to individual needs, ensuring a positive and respectful environment. Collect data on client progress and behaviors to inform care plans and support team collaboration. Administer medication following prescribed protocols when necessary and authorized. Use effective communication skills, including American Sign Language if applicable, to facilitate understanding and connection with clients. Maintain accurate documentation of services provided, incidents, and client progress in compliance with agency policies. Skills No experience needed Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health practices. Strong behavioral management skills to support positive behavior change. Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and team members. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community outings or appointments. Ability to assist with ADLs and provide caregiving support with patience and empathy. Familiarity with data collection methods related to client progress and behavior tracking.
