Job Description

Independent Horizons is seeking applicants to work a Direct Support Professional position for the following shifts:
Monday :
8:30am-3:30pm
Tuesday :
8:30am-3:30pm
Wednesday :
8:30am-3:30pm
Thursday :
8:30am-3:30pm
Friday :
8:30am-3:30pm Candidates will be supporting individuals who receive community inclusions supports.

This candidate will need to assist with participating in activities within a community setting and caring for daily needs of individual. These needs may include, assistance with use of restroom, hygiene, behavior management, as well as daily access to activities.
The right applicant shall possess:
Knowledge and experience working with developmental, physical disabilities, mental health and aggressive behaviors Ability to create a meaningful routine Knowledgeable of creating independence vs. creating dependence Following health care plans Completing daily documentation Implementing personal protocols, schedules, and activities Accompanying/transporting individuals to appointments and activities in the community Knowledge and experience with community integration and teaching life skills
Requirements :
Be 19 years of age or older Lift 75lbs+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent Hold a valid driver's license and Auto Insurance Be able to pass all background checks and APS/CPS registry checks Have a reliable vehicle; and Ability to attain and maintain training and certifications.
Training/Certification:
