Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Day Staff Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide direct support to individuals with diverse behavioral health needs during daytime hours. Your positive engagement will promote safety, independence, and personal growth while ensuring high-quality psychiatric and behavioral care in a supportive environment. Duties Assist individuals with daily activities, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the day Monitor patient behavior closely, implementing behavior management strategies as needed Conduct patient observation and record detailed notes in medical records to track progress and incidents Respond promptly to crises or emergencies using crisis intervention techniques Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document medication administration in medical records Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support psychiatric care plans and acute care needs Maintain a safe environment by adhering to hospital protocols and behavioral health standards Skills Knowledge of psychiatry principles and crisis intervention methods Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in behavioral health settings Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and patient monitoring Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and medication administration procedures Ability to perform patient observation diligently and respond effectively during acute care situations Previous hospital or corrections facility medical clinic experience is a plus Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and support patients' needs Hours 7:00am-3:00pm Monday-Friday Join us in making a meaningful difference by providing compassionate care that empowers individuals on their journey toward well-being!
