Job Description
Available shifts: Weekends 11am-5pm One weekday morning or evening (4-5 hours) Must have a strong background in crisis management and be comfortable with challenging behaviors. ABA or RBT background required, or willingness to complete the RBT course within 30 days of hire.
Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Support individual in developing and maintaining social skills and relationships
- Ensure the rights and dignity of individuals are respected and upheld
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in a related field is a plus
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health challenges preferred
- Must have knowledge of autism spectrum disorder and be comfortable with applying behavior support (managing aggression/self-injury, elopement)
- Ability to drive and possess a valid driver's license
- First aid and CPR certification is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills This position requires compassion, patience, and the ability to adapt to different situations.
