In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with disabilities, assisting them in achieving their personal goals and enhancing their quality of life. Your work will involve fostering independence and promoting dignity for those in your care, ensuring they receive the necessary support in a safe and nurturing environment.

Case details:

Client needs someone 2-3 nights during the week from 3:30pm to 7:30pm. Flexible nights. The client needs assistance with multiple daily living ( taking the client out into the community so they can enjoy the things they love such as golf, baseball games, and interacting with friends) Duties The client needs companion care such as grooming, organizing, and meal preparation, and are able to drive. We will want to verify your driving record. Provide support for individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their needs are met in a respectful manner. Engage the client in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and personal development accordingly. Support the individual in the home and within the community Administer CPR and first aid when necessary Requirements 1 year experience working in a private home or in a group setting as a DSP or home health aide First Aid and CPR Certified 1 year experience working with people with disabilities, elderly, and special needs 1 year experience working with individuals with emotional and behavioral disorders Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality Ability to assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) effectively Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to caregiving Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed Reliable transportation Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, and lift at least 20 lbs
