Job Summary We are seeking energetic and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to join our team! In this vital role, you will empower individuals with disabilities by assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being. Your enthusiasm and caring nature will help create a supportive environment where clients can thrive. This paid position offers opportunities for growth and meaningful work in a rewarding setting. Responsibilities Provide hands-on support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Assist clients with meal preparation, cooking, and nutritional needs in accordance with care plans Monitor health status by taking vital signs and observing patient conditions regularly Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care protocols Engage clients in social activities, community outings, and recreational programs to promote socialization and independence Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks and safety checks Document client progress, update care plans, and communicate effectively with team members about any changes in condition Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and basic nursing skills such as CPR and First Aid certification required or willing to obtain upon hire Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer's), or memory care needs is highly desirable Ability to lift heavy objects safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and team members Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts Join us at Community Supports Network where your compassion makes a difference!
