Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Part-Time Position Join the ASG Home Care Family and Make a Difference in the Lives of Others! As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will have the opportunity to join our dedicated team of caregivers who provide high-quality, person-centered services to individuals with developmental disabilities in Hackettstown, New Jersey. About the
Role:
As a DSP, you will provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and skills development. Our DSPs are empowered to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients, promoting independence, inclusion, and overall well-being. Responsibilities:
Provide individualized support to clients with developmental disabilities in their homes, communities, and out-of-home settings Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management Encourage and support clients in developing daily living skills, social skills, and independence Maintain accurate records of client progress, including daily logs and incident reports Collaborate with other professionals, such as therapists and nurses, to ensure comprehensive care Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized service plans

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., Special Education, Psychology) preferred Previous experience in a healthcare or human services setting (n/a) Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform moderate physical activity Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license How to
