Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Direct Support Professional to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, seniors, and residents in various care settings. In this vital role, you will empower individuals to achieve their personal goals, promote independence, and enhance their quality of life through personalized support. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure comfort and dignity Provide medication administration following prescribed protocols and monitor vital signs to support health and safety Support individuals with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's disease and dementia by implementing specialized care strategies Operate assistive devices like Hoyer lifts safely to promote mobility and prevent injury Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements while maintaining a clean and organized environment Document care activities accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and communicate updates with team members effectively Engage residents in social activities, behavioral management techniques, and community outings to foster socialization and emotional well-being Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred Knowledge of first aid procedures, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer's care Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in group home settings is advantageous Ability to perform personal care tasks with compassion while maintaining residents' dignity Valid driver's license for transportation duties and a clean driving record if applicable Strong communication skills, patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude toward caregiving responsibilities Willingness to undergo background checks and complete necessary training for long-term care roles Join us in making a positive impact through dedicated support and compassionate caregiving. $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
