Self Directed Employee/Direct Support Professional Mathews Supports Lawrenceville, NJ Job Details Part-time $20 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Driver's License Performing background checks Food preparation Patient interaction Meal assistance Full Job Description In search of a self-directed employee for a friendly and social woman We are looking for a kind, patient, and reliable individual to support a woman with Cerebral Palsy who lives independently in her own home. She leads an active, social life and enjoys outings to the mall, Walmart, the Farmer's Market, spending time on social media, playing cards, listening to Tim McGraw and watching TV. She has dinner with her mom every evening and enjoys visiting with her neighbors. You'll be a valued part of her daily routine and social life, helping her maintain independence and enjoy her favorite activities. All training will be provided!
Responsibilities include:
 Morning and Evening routines  Assisting with hygiene and personal care  Basic meal prep and feeding assistance  Light housekeeping  Driving to/from community outings and events using her personal van  Social engagement: playing cards, conversation, listening and companionship  Safe transfers (stand and pivot) to and from her wheelchair
Qualifications:
 Must be able to perform physical transfers (lifting and pivoting)  Clear and patient communication skills  Valid drivers license and reliable transportation  Willingness to complete a background check and drug screen  Experience with Cerebral Palsy is preferred but not required (training provided)
Schedule:
 Monday - Friday 8am-1pm  Per diem
Salary:
 $20 per hour  Payroll managed through
Acumen Pay:
$20.00 per hour
