Full Job Description Duties:
Provide direct care and support to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors Administer medication according to prescribed guidelines and maintain accurate records Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times Maintain a clean and organized living environment Document individual progress and communicate effectively with team members
Qualifications:
Experience or education in social work or a related field is preferred Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and behavior management techniques Ability to follow medication administration protocols and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Experience working with children or in a childcare setting is a plus Physical ability to lift and transfer individuals as needed Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for transporting individuals to appointments or activities First aid and CPR certification is preferred This position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to providing quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to work effectively as part of a team, and have a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
Schedule:
20 hours weekly (Monday-Thursday) (10:30am-3:30pm)
