Direct Support Professional

Duties:

• Provide patient care that promotes comfort, dignity, and independence.
• Support individuals with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist with mobility and ambulation, as needed.
• Perform heavy lifting and transfer safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment that meets our high standards for cleanliness and safety.
• Engage in communication with individuals, including supporting their social and emotional needs.
• Advocate for Individual's rights and ensure that their voices are heard.
• Collaborate with other care professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Participate in training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's license
• Must be 18years or older
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Communicate effectively with team members.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• The ability to provide compassionate and respectful care to individuals.
• Encourage community participation Document all observations and daily progress notes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
• Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and transfer residents.
• A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized living environment.
• A passion for social work and supporting the social and emotional needs of residents.
• A strong understanding of resident rights and a willingness to advocate for their needs.
• A willingness to participate in training and professional development.
