Job Description
Overview Join our compassionate healthcare team as a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA), where your dedication and skills directly enhance the quality of life for our clients. In this vital role, you will provide personalized patient care in home and community settings, supporting individuals with diverse needs including seniors, those with disabilities, and individuals living with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Your energetic and caring approach will help clients maintain independence, dignity, and comfort while ensuring their safety and well-being. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day through hands-on caregiving, medical assistance, and emotional support. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive patient observation to monitor health status and report changes promptly Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to accurately document medical information and care provided Administer medications following prescribed schedules while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Perform vital signs assessments including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates Support clients with specialized care needs such as catheter care, hospice support, dementia or memory care, and Alzheimer's care Utilize equipment like Hoyer lifts safely during transfers and assist with mobility challenges Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to promote a healthy environment Assist with medical documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare standards Provide compassionate support during emergencies such as CPR or hospice situations when necessary Qualifications Proven experience in patient care within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures related to long-term care, hospice, dementia, and memory care Certification as a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) or equivalent; CPR certification required Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent communication with healthcare teams Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is preferred Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting using Hoyer lifts and assisting with mobility needs Flexibility to work live-in shifts or part-time hours based on client needs Join us in delivering exceptional home health services where your dedication transforms lives.
