Job Description

CCP Adult Day Program , located in Neptune City, NJ, is a leisure and activity-based Day Program for individuals over the age of 21 years with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We have assisted families and guardians for close to 35 years now with their adult offspring who need additional care beyond high school. We are located on a 10- acre pristine campus where our adults enjoy an indoor aquatic center, a full-size gym, a nature trail, two very spacious courtyards, a plethora of choices for community trips, on-site events like music and dancing, classic car shows, therapy pets and so much more. DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL
(DSP) (PT/FT) Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) assist adults with daily activities, socialization skills, community visits, and campus events while moving forward collaboratively toward meeting their Individualized Service Plans (ISPs). Our DSPs maintain ongoing, accurate documentation of these milestones in an effort to share progress of agreed upon goals and objectives. FT/PT positions.
Education/Skills/Experience Needed:
High School Diploma or its equivalent Ability to read and write English Ability to lift and assist individuals if needed Strong interpersonal and communication skills Compassionate and patient demeanor Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Some of your responsibilities include but are not limited to: Maintaining a good rapport with participants. Always demonstrating enthusiasm and respect. Following daily schedules. Consistently engaging and taking part in activities and events. Encouraging participant communication and socialization. Completing required participant related documentation daily. Maintaining a good working relationship and communicating effectively with co-workers Conducting yourself in a manner consistent with program policies and procedures Completing our required, free training and certification requirements set forth by The Department of Developmental Disabilities. Pay:
$18.00 - $19.00 per hour
