As a DSP, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our clients with developmental disabilities. About the
Role:
As a Direct Support Professional with ASG Home Care, you will be responsible for: Providing one-on-one support to clients with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities Assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores Encouraging independence, socialization, and community involvement Working closely with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans Maintaining accurate records and reports Participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
Responsibilities:
Provide 24/7 support to clients with varying levels of needs Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores Promote independence, socialization, and community involvement Facilitate and participate in recreational and leisure activities Maintain a clean and safe environment Collaborate with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Human Services, Special Education, or related field preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (for travel to and from client homes) Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
