Job Description

Community Care Partners is seeking a compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to an adult participant in Paterson, NJ. As a DSP, you will provide hands-on assistance and community-based support while promoting independence, community engagement, and quality of life. Services are delivered in accordance with the participant's individualized service plan. We are looking for a reliable, English-speaking professional who enjoys helping others and making a positive impact in their community.
Starting Hourly Rate:
$21.00 per hour
Position Type:
Part-time Schedule:
10 hours per week 2 days per week Afternoon hours preferred Participant is flexible with scheduling. Specific days and times will be discussed during the interview process.
Work Location:
One-on-one support provided in the participant's home and throughout the community.

Case Specifics:
Provide transportation to and from community activities, appointments, and outings. Support participation in community-based recreational and social activities. Assist with carrying items and light moving of furniture as needed. Perform light housekeeping and household organization tasks. Encourage independence and active participation in daily activities. Foster community inclusion, social engagement, and meaningful experiences.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Accompanying the participant on community outings and activities. Providing transportation and community-based support. Assisting with light household cleaning and organization. Supporting the participant in pursuing hobbies, interests, and social opportunities. Encouraging independence and participation in daily living activities. Maintaining a positive, respectful, and supportive environment.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to assist with carrying items and light furniture moving. Must be capable of reaching, bending, lifting, and performing light physical tasks as needed.
Experience, License, and Certification Requirements:
Valid New Jersey Driver's License required. Reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance required. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must clear all required State/Federal criminal background checks, the Central Registry, and the CARI database. CPR/First Aid certification preferred. Applicants may apply without certification but must obtain it before starting services. Must be proficient in English (reading, writing, and comprehension).
