Job Description

Hospice Home Health Aide Spero Hospice Perth Amboy, NJ $23 - $25 an hour $23 - $25 an hour Are you an empathetic and compassionate caregiver who takes pride in helping people lead more independent lives? Our busy home health agency is seeking an experienced home health aide to assist our case managers in implementing patient-specific care plans. You'll give our patients companionship and help with basic medical care, light housekeeping duties, personal care, and hygiene tasks so that they are empowered to live happily at home. You must have 1-3 years of experience as an HHA or caregiver and possess excellent communication skills. If you enjoy a position that is varied and rewarding every day, we want to hear from you!
Compensation:
$23 - $25 hourly
Responsibilities:
Assist patients in completing personal hygiene tasks like bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, shaving, etc. Help patients complete exercise, and physical therapy and ambulate the patient as indicated in the care plan Sustain quality companionship and provide psychological and emotional support for patients and their family members Implement care plans as directed by the case manager, and keep updated and accurate care records Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to patients, ensuring they feel valued and understood. Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, to promote dignity and independence. Implement patient-specific care plans as directed by case managers, ensuring each individual's needs are met effectively. Monitor and report changes in patients' health status to the healthcare team, fostering proactive and responsive care. Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment, enhancing patients' comfort and well-being. Support patients with mobility and exercise routines, encouraging physical activity and overall health. Administer basic medical care under supervision, such as checking vital signs, to ensure patients' health is closely monitored.
Qualifications:
Compassionate, kind, and empathetic personality is essential, with superb organization and communications skills 1-3 years of experience as an HHA/ home health aide, personal caregiver, nursing assistant, or personal care aid for a home health agency, at patient homes or care facilities settings is needed A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required - some college is an asset Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, you may be required to stoop, bend, reach, and transfer patients up to 250 lbs as needed Home Health Aide Experience

Home Health Aide Certification US Work Authorization Previous experience in hospice care preferred Strong interpersonal communication skills
