Job Description

Overview Our non-profit organization is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide high-quality, one-on-one personal support overnight for an individual with developmental disabilities. Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Self-Directed Employee (SDE) and become a vital part of empowering this individual with diverse needs to live fulfilling, independent live. In this role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care and support tailored to this individual's unique goals and routines. Whether assisting with daily living activities, medication management, or community engagement, your positive attitude and proactive approach will make a meaningful difference in the live of this individual you serve. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to foster independence while ensuring safety and well-being in various care settings inside and outside of the home / house. This role focuses on assisting/supervising/monitoring the individual overnight, and thus helping the individual to thrive. Occasional dayshift coverage may be needed.
Key Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities (5+ years preferred). Valid driver license with a safe driving record. Strong communication skills, maturity, and punctuality. College educated. CPR and First Aid certified.
Additional Requirements:
Must pass fingerprinting background check and drug screening. Must be dependable, respectful, and able to follow individual support plans. Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) preferred. Training will be provided. Health and Safety Requirements (Medical Accommodations) :
Smoking-Free Enviroment:
Care takes place in a strictly smoke-free and vape-free home environment due to severe medical respiratory vulnerabilities. Candidates must be completely free of third-hand smoke or nicotine residue on clothing prior to and during all shifts.
Scent-Free Environment:
Due to medical allergies and asthma, the workplace is strictly fragrance-free. The selected candidate must refrain from wearing perfumes, colognes, scented lotions, or heavily fragranced body products while on duty.
Pet/Allergen Restrictions:
To ensure health and safety compliance regarding severe respiratory triggers, candidates must not have direct contact with pet dander immediately prior to shifts. This is a Pet-free home.
Schedule:
9pm-7 a.m. for 3 nights a week Fri, Sat, Sun (preferred), or Thur. Fri. and Saturday, 30 hours total, as a FT staff with great benefit package.
Pay Rate:
$20- $22.00 per hour
Employment & Payroll Structure Notice:
Please note that while our non-profit organization is coordinating the initial recruitment, screening, and interview process, the selected candidate will be formally employed and enrolled through our state-affiliated disability services agency. All formal onboarding, hourly tracking, and official W-2 payroll distribution will be processed directly through the state's self-directed care program regulations.
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
