Job Description

Direct Support Professional (DSP)- Hartley The Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities by providing personalized support and assistance in their daily activities. This mostly nights position focuses on fostering independence and promoting social inclusion, ensuring that clients can engage meaningfully in their communities. DSPs are responsible for implementing individualized care plans, which may include assistance with personal care, medication management, and skill development. The ultimate goal is to empower clients to achieve their personal goals and improve their overall well-being. By building trusting relationships and providing compassionate care, DSPs make a significant impact on the lives of those they support.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
Responsibilities:
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks. Implement and monitor individualized care plans, ensuring that each client's needs and preferences are met. Provide transportation and accompany clients to appointments, social activities, and community events. Support clients in developing life skills and achieving personal goals through encouragement and guidance. Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and communicate effectively with team members and family members.
