$19.50/hour
Weekend Rate:
$20.50/hour Job Overview Advancing Opportunities, an affiliate of Apis Services , is seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to join our team as SUB Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) at our Toms River group home , supporting adults with disabilities. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals while developing your skills in a supportive environment. Our Mission To achieve full societal participation for all people with disabilities. Responsibilities Direct Support Professionals provide hands-on care, guidance, and mentorship to residents while helping them build independence and life skills.
Key responsibilities include:
Assist with daily living skills (cooking, housekeeping, hygiene) Support health and wellness, including personal medical care Encourage community participation (shopping, recreation, outings) Promote social and emotional development (communication, friendships, coping skills) Support budgeting, money management, and other life skills Foster independence, dignity, and autonomy for residents Qualifications 20 years or older High School Diploma or GED Valid driver's license Ability to successfully complete: State and Federal criminal background checks Drug screening Pre-employment physical and PPD Willingness to complete all required orientation and pre-service training Why Work for Advancing Opportunities?
