Lodge Direct Support Professional Lead 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars 700 Mountain Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481 $21.50 an hour - Full-time Hope Christian Services 2 reviews $21.50 an hour - Full-time Make a Real Impact—Lead with Purpose Hope Christian Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lodge Lead to provide leadership, oversight, and support to Direct Support Professional (DSP) staff across multiple residential lodges. This is a hands-on supervisory role ideal for someone passionate about both staff development and high-quality resident care. Position Summary The Lodge Lead is responsible for supervising DSP staff, ensuring compliance with care standards, and supporting the daily operations of multiple residential homes. This role combines leadership, direct care, and operational oversight to ensure a safe, structured, and supportive environment for both staff and residents. Key Responsibilities Supervise, mentor, and support DSP staff across assigned lodges Provide real-time guidance to staff and address concerns as they arise Ensure quality care and adherence to all policies, procedures, and DDD regulations Assist with staff performance monitoring, coaching, and conflict resolution Support staff with documentation, compliance, and daily responsibilities Respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention when needed Maintain accurate records and ensure timely completion of required documentation Communicate regularly with leadership regarding operations and staff performance Provide direct care support to residents as needed Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Compassionate, dependable, and solutions-focused Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with a good driving record Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and assist with resident care (including 2-person lifts and use of equipment such as Hoyer lifts) Ability to work overnight shifts (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Successful completion of background checks in accordance with NJ Department of Human Services Compliance with Central Registry and Child Abuse Registry requirements Pre-employment and random drug screening What We Offer Competitive pay + overtime eligibility Sign-on bonus (for eligible full-time employees) PTO, sick time, and extended illness benefits Tuition reimbursement (up to $4,800/year) Medical, dental, and vision coverage (HCS covers up to 90% for eligible employees) 403(b) retirement plan Supportive, mission-driven work environment Step into a leadership role where you can make a meaningful difference every day—for both staff and residents.
