Job Description
Posting Details DOH and NMBHI are proud to offer a medically assisted withdrawal management program and a residential treatment program for Northern New Mexico! This program will provide medical and clinical assistance to address barriers and improve the overall quality of life for our clients that struggle with substance abuse and addiction. We will provide a safe and effective program that focuses on the client's needs in preparation for a successful discharge to a lower level of care. The residential team will consist of Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses. Patient Care Assistants (EMTs. Medical Assistants. CPSW preferred), and a Clinical Team of counselors. This posting will be used for ongoing recruitment and may close at any time. Applicant lists may be screened more than once. Why does the job exist? This position will provide direct patient care during substance abuse withdrawal management, provide structure and support during rehabilitation services, and assist with discharge planning. This position will work in close proximity to the Patient Care Assistants to ensure all needs of the clients and program are met daily. This position will conduct early recovery skills groups and guide the clients through structured recreational activities. How does it get done? This position will be responsible for assisting with the admission process including obtaining vitals, property search, inventory, documentation, case management and discharge planning, etc. Who are the customers? Through the vision of New Mexico Department of Health and New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute, we will standardize our program alongside other state substance abuse programs in effort to open our doors to all New Mexicans that struggle with substance abuse. Ideal Candidate Through the vision of New Mexico Department of Health and New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute, we will standardize our program alongside other state substance abuse programs in effort to open our doors to all New Mexicans that struggle with substance abuse. Minimum Qualification High School Diploma and one (1) year of experience as it pertains to the essential duties of the classification. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling one (1) year may substitute for the required experience. Employment Requirements Must possess a valid Drivers License. Must obtain a Defensive Drivers Certificate 1.

In accordance with all terms and conditions of federal and state law, rules, and regulations in relation to alcohol and/or drug testing. CHECK-Must successfully complete post offer pre-employment criminal records background check. Employment is conditional pending the results of criminal records background checks. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Successful completion of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
