The DSP plays an important role in promoting independence, dignity, safety, and overall well-being while assisting individuals with daily activities, skill-building, and community participation. Duties Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks Follow individualized support plans based on each person's needs, preferences, and goals Provide support in residential settings and during community outings and activities Encourage independence, personal growth, and participation in daily routines Observe and report changes in behavior, health, or overall well-being to the appropriate supervisor or team member Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment Provide emotional support, companionship, and respectful encouragement Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and emergency protocols Assist with mobility and physical support as needed Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred Knowledge of caregiving and direct support practices is preferred Ability to follow support plans and document observations accurately Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude Ability to safely assist with lifting and mobility-related tasks Compassion, patience, and a commitment to helping others achieve greater independence Organizational skills and attention to cleanliness and safety
Pay:
From $15.00 per hour
