The rate for this role is $18/hr. The hours for this position are Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9:30am-3:00pm. Job Summary The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for assisting individuals we support during day program in accordance with an established treatment plan. This role is part of the Achieve Program, which emphasizes the importance of building work readiness skills while promoting independence and integrating into the community through recreational outings and Volunteer Training opportunities. They will abide by the Direct Support Professional Code of Ethics at all times. Specific Responsibilities Complete required QSAC orientation. Ensure health, safety & welfare of individuals. Uphold the standards set by the NADSP Code of Ethics. Punctuality and regular attendance is expected. Safeguard and respect the confidentiality of the individuals and their families. Assist the individuals to develop and maintain relationships. Help individuals build work readiness skills, such as but not limited to, computer literacy, professional behavior and communication skills Promote and protect the health, safety and emotional well-being of the individuals. Commit to person centered supports and honor the personality, preferences, culture and strengths of the individuals. Work in partnership with others to support all individuals to lead self-directed lives. Commitment to company values and adherence to policies. Implement and adhere to established treatment plans. Ensure that people exercise their rights and that rights are not unnecessarily restricted. Ensure people are treated with dignity and respect. Participate in annual and required evaluation process. Maintain all required certifications. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or senior management.
