Day Habilitation Support Location:
Binghamton, NY Schedule:
Full-time, First Shift Pay:
$19.00 -$20.25

All training is paid and provided, no experience is necessary! We are looking for a direct support professional with a desire to help people discover their unique abilities, promote independence, create friendships, and make a difference every day.
Direct Support Professional Duties and Responsibilities:
Promote independence and support for individuals with moderate to severe disabilities. Transport individuals to volunteer and recreational activities in the Community such as local parks, shopping, eating at a local restaurant, and more. Provide the necessary supervision, training and support during these outings. Implement goal plans and data collection to monitor progress. Maintain accurate daily participant records, charts, logs, and case/progress notes per the instruction of the Direct Supervisor and the individual treatment plan methodologies. Maintain an orderly, clean, safe, environment at all times. Order supplies for with approval from the Direct Supervisor. Assist an individual with toileting, if needed. Complete monthly progress notes, semi-annual and annual reviews as assigned by or in the absence of the Direct Supervisor. Assist in boarding vehicles and disembarking from vehicles. Monitor passengers and maintain orderliness on vehicle to ensure passenger safety and adherence to safety regulations. Assist in planning activities which will foster community integration.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Possess a valid driver's license acceptable to the agency's insurance carrier
