The ideal candidate is committed to promoting independence, dignity, safety, and overall well-being while creating a respectful and supportive environment for residents. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others while working alongside a caring and professional team. Key Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility support. Safely operate Hoyer lifts and other mobility or assistive devices to ensure resident comfort and safety. Monitor residents' health and well-being by observing vital signs, behaviors, and changes in condition, and promptly report concerns to the appropriate healthcare staff. Administer medications accurately in accordance with care plans, safety guidelines, and HIPAA regulations. Prepare and serve nutritious meals based on individual dietary requirements while maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment by following infection control and sanitation procedures. Encourage and support residents in participating in recreational activities, social engagement, and community outings to promote independence and quality of life. Follow individualized care plans carefully and document observations, incidents, and interventions accurately to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulations. Provide compassionate emotional support while fostering a respectful, person-centered environment for all residents. Qualifications & Requirements Previous experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home care, or community-based care settings is strongly preferred. Knowledge of medication administration, patient observation, vital signs monitoring, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and developmental disabilities is highly desirable. CPR and First Aid certification required; additional training in HIPAA compliance, hospice care, or memory care is a plus. Ability to safely perform physical tasks, including lifting and assisting residents with mobility needs. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or autism spectrum disorder preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills with a compassionate and patient-centered approach. Reliable, professional, and committed to delivering high-quality care and support.
