We currently have opportunities for Home Health Aides (HHA) within the Staten Island Area. Home Health Aides are required to possess a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, ability to read, write and carry out directions and maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job. Additionally, all HHAs must satisfactorily complete the standard Home Health Aide (HHA).
Requirements :
Current HHA Certification Spanish Speaking Essential Job Responsibilities:
Appropriately assist clients with personal care activities and provide companionship tasks in accordance with the care plan. Appropriately assist with household tasks directly related to the client's health and in accordance with the care plan. Accurately measure and record temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure. Utilize equipment in an appropriate and safe manner. Perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy services. Remind client for self-administration of medication. Document services provided accurately. Report any changes in the client's condition or incidents immediately.
