Home Health Aide / Caregiver

Overview My father was recently discharged home from a nursing rehab facility after surgery. We are working to build his team of caregivers to provide around the clock care for him. He is quadriplegic and bedbound, so all of his care takes place bedside. He is sweet, funny, and easy to get along with. He loves watching the birds and wildlife outside his apartment and enjoys watching TV. He is mentally sharp and self directing with his care.

• This position is paid for through PPL (Public Partnership LLC), NY's Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program's intermediatory. All caregivers will need to register with PPL and complete the onboarding tasks (pre-employment physical
• no charge to employee, and new hire paperwork) before they can begin working.
• We work with Fingerlakes Independence Center to onboard people into the PPL system, so we can get you in contact with the right person to help get you set up if you aren't already registered with PPL.

Duties Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as diapering, dressing, grooming, light meal prep (ie: grilled cheese, scrambled eggs), assistance with feeding. Perform light housekeeping duties Skills Familiarity with bedbound patient care preferred, but not necessary Must be comfortable with changing an adult diaper or holding urinal when needed Must be reliable and dependable

Current Shifts Available:

• Monday & Wednesday
• 11am to 3pm
• Tuesday & Thursday
• 2pm to 9pm
• Saturday & Sunday
• 9am to 9pm
• Weekend shifts can be broken down into shorter shifts if preferred. We are flexible!
• There are additional hours available on other days as our other caregivers take vacation, need days off, etc.

Pay:

Up to $18.65 per hour
