Job Description
Overview Join our compassionate healthcare team as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA), where your dedication makes a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care and support. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide vital assistance in patients' homes and community settings, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity. Whether working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those managing chronic conditions like dementia or Alzheimer's, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional patient-centered care. This position is paid and ideal for caregivers eager to grow their skills while making a positive impact. Responsibilities Provide compassionate assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including assisst withdressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and reporting changes promptly using Reminder of medication. Operate medical equipment like Hoyer lifts and perform safe transfers to prevent injury Help with meal preparation, light cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe and hygienic environment in accordance with HIPAA regulations Document patient care activities thoroughly in medical documentation systems while respecting patient privacy and confidentiality Qualifications Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems required Certification in CPR is mandatory; additional certifications such as hospice care training or dementia care are advantageous Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is highly valued Ability to work independently and as part of a team in home & community care environments Strong communication skills for effective patient observation and interaction Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for home visits Join us to empower those we serve through dedicated caregiving!
