This role involves working closely with a participant in his home, ensuring his safety, well-being, and quality of life. The ideal candidate will be skilled in implementing care plans, assisting with daily activities, and fostering a positive environment for clients. The position we are looking to fill is one of a relief staff to aid our participant when his routine staff is unavailable. The position requires a great deal of flexibility. The right candidate must be able to fill in as needed. This position is for Weekend coverage, approximately 10 hours per shift for Saturdays and Sundays. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's specific needs and preferences. Engage clients in social activities to promote socialization and emotional well-being. Perform heavy lifting as needed to assist with mobility challenges. Maintain a clean and safe living environment. Document client progress and any changes in behavior or condition accurately. Requirements Previous experience in direct support, home care, or related fields is preferred. Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs. A compassionate attitude and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including evenings and weekends.
