HHA/PCA Job Description HHA/PCA.
Job Summary:
This position is for HHA/PCA position in Riverhead, NY. Female English/Spanish speaking aide required . Personal care services may include but are not limited to: assistance with nutrition and diet activities such as shopping and meal preparation; performance of household services such as changing bed linens, making beds, washing dishes, cleaning the kitchen, dusting and vacuuming rooms, shopping for essential supplies; assistance with basic personal care such as bathing, grooming, bathroom and/or bedpan routines, walking, transferring from bed to chair or wheelchair; and assistance with self-administration of medications. Male/Female HHA/PCA needed in Riverhead, NY . for in-person position immediately.
Duties:
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
  • Remind for medication under the direction of healthcare professionals
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
  • Document patient care services accurately and timely
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Assist with medical documentation and record keeping
Experience:
  • Prior experience in caregiving or home health aide roles required
  • Familiarity with working in homecare setting or similar healthcare settings
  • Ability to lift and move patients safely, ability to use hoyer lift.
  • Experience in providing care to individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus
Requirements:
  • Valid current HHA/PCA Certification.
  • Authorized to work in USA
  • Two professional references.
  • Valid Current annual physical with updated immunizations.

  • Smoking, drinking using any form of addictive consumables in patient's home.
  • Being on personal phone at patient's home while working, other than an emergency which must be explained.
  • Unprofessional behavior of any kind either with patient or with the staff at Axzons.
