Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Home Health Aide/Resident Service Aide to join our compassionate caregiving team. In this role, you will provide essential personal and medical support to residents in assisted living or long-term care settings. Your efforts will directly enhance residents' quality of life by assisting with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and fostering a warm, respectful environment. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Schedule:
Sunday-Thursday 7A-3PM Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance. Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to support health assessments. Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols while maintaining detailed documentation in electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, employing memory care techniques and behavior management strategies. Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and hydration needs to promote proper nutrition and comfort. Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids safely and effectively. Maintain a clean and safe environment through routine cleaning, sanitation, and adherence to health regulations. Drive residents when necessary for appointments or outings, ensuring safety and comfort at all times. Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of care techniques including assisting with ADLs, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is preferred. Certification in first aid is required; additional training in Alzheimer's care or behavior management is advantageous. Ability to operate EMR systems efficiently for documentation purposes. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate compassionately and effectively with residents and team members. Valid driver's license for driving responsibilities is preferred but not mandatory. Long-term care experience or group home experience will be considered an asset.
