Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Home Health Aide & Caregiver, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, personalized care to individuals in their homes and community settings. This position offers an energizing opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those recovering from illness or managing chronic conditions. Your expertise will support patients with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure their safety and comfort. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; document findings accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. Administer medications following medical documentation protocols and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Support clients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance mental well-being while engaging clients in appropriate activities. Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe living environment for clients. Maintain detailed medical records and documentation of patient care activities while adhering to medical terminology standards and privacy regulations. Use EMR/EHR systems efficiently for scheduling, updating patient information, and communicating with healthcare teams. Support safe transfer techniques using equipment like Hoyer lifts and assist with catheter care when required. Respond promptly to emergency situations by executing CPR or other first aid procedures as trained. Experience Proven experience in home health care or caregiving roles within assisted living facilities or nursing homes. Familiarity with long-term care environments and working with seniors or individuals with disabilities. Hands-on experience assisting with ADLs and providing specialized dementia or Alzheimer's care. Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and vital signs monitoring. Experience using EMR/EHR systems for medical documentation and patient records management. Prior work in hospice or memory care settings is highly desirable. Certification in CPR is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or catheter care are a plus. Pay:
$14.00 - $17.00 per hour
