In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, assisting them in daily living activities and promoting their independence. Your work will make a significant impact on the lives of those you support, ensuring their safety, dignity, and quality of life. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide patient care and monitoring, including vital signs and medication administration as per care plans. Support individuals in group home settings or assisted living environments, ensuring a safe and nurturing atmosphere. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and personal growth. Maintain cleanliness and organization of living spaces to ensure a healthy environment. Implement care plans tailored to each individual's needs while respecting their privacy and dignity in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers when necessary. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall well-being of clients. Document observations and report any changes in client behavior or health status to appropriate personnel. Qualifications This is a Weekend Position. Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities is helpful but not required, paid training is provided. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
