Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and assistance to patients in their homes
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel
- Assist with meal planning and preparation, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed
- Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Will train for specific positions
Experience:
- BSP (Behavior Support Plans), Restrictive Measures, Trauma Informed Care
- Previous experience in DODD, home health care, and/or a related field is preferred
- Familiarity with hospice care, nursing homes, and memory care is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic understanding of medical procedures
- Ability to handle confidential information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Experience with tube feeding, insulin, medication administration, and other specialized care techniques is beneficial
Skills:
(Must Have)- Experience working with People with Developmental Disabilities
- CPR, First Aid, DODD Training Cert., Background check, Driver Lic., High School/GED diploma, and other Certifications/Transcripts/Training welcomed, Reliable Vehicle
- Compassionate and caring nature
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and schedules
- Dsp experience 14.00-16.50
- Manager experience, up to 18.
