Direct Support Professional (DSP) — Drivers Only Access Choice Care is hiring dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide in-home and community support to individuals with developmental disabilities. This is a driving position — driving is mandatory and not optional. What You'll Do Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities (bathing, grooming, dressing, meal prep) Transport individuals to appointments, work, day programs, and community outings Support community integration and social/recreational activities Assist with light housekeeping and household tasks Administer or assist with medication (if DODD medication-certified) Complete required documentation accurately and on time Follow each individual's person-centered plan and report incidents as required Schedule & Pay Part-time; weekday and weekend shifts available Morning and evening shifts Pay starts at $17/hour Requirements (all mandatory) Must be 18 or older Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record (driving is required for this role) High school diploma or GED Current First Aid and CPR certification with an in-person/hands-on skills assessment (online-only certifications are not accepted under DODD rules) Must pass a criminal background check (Ohio BCI; FBI check also required if you've lived outside Ohio in the past 5 years) Ability to read, write, and understand English All hiring is conducted in accordance with Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) requirements, including
OAC 5123-2-02
background check standards.
Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
