In this rewarding role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care and support to residents in various settings, including group homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to make a positive difference every day while developing valuable skills in patient care and support. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance using tools like Hoyer lifts or resident's personal equipment Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient behavior, and reporting changes to healthcare professionals Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal service in accordance with health guidelines Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties, laundry, and sanitation tasks regularly Engage residents in social activities and community outings to promote socialization and mental well-being Follow detailed care plans designed by healthcare teams to deliver consistent, person-centered support Qualifications Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer's), or in hospice or senior care settings is highly preferred Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in HIPAA compliance is advantageous Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient monitoring techniques Strong observational skills for patient safety and behavioral cues; patience and compassion are essential qualities Experience in group home environments is desirable Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts as needed Join us to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve!
