In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with disabilities or special needs, ensuring their well-being and promoting their independence. You will work closely with clients in various settings, including group homes and community-based environments, to assist them in daily activities while respecting their rights and dignity. Responsibilities Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Support individuals in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and household chores. Foster a positive and supportive environment by encouraging social interactions and community involvement. Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences. Monitor client behavior and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel. Promote resident rights by advocating for clients' needs and preferences. Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and any incidents that occur during shifts. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to direct support and care. Experience Previous experience in direct support roles, senior care, or long-term care settings is preferred but not required. Familiarity with CPR techniques is a plus. Experience working in group homes or nursing homes is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. A commitment to upholding resident rights and providing compassionate care.
