This vital role involves providing attentive, respectful, and professional assistance to clients in their own homes, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; observe for any changes or concerns Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to safely move clients with mobility challenges Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals Requirements Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize signs of medical or behavioral changes Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer's disease), or memory care needs is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs Strong communication skills to collaborate with families, healthcare teams, and social workers Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred for community-based care responsibilities Join us in delivering exceptional home care that promotes independence, dignity, and quality of life.
