Job Description

LOCAL SCHOOL SEARCHING FOR A STUDENT ASSISTANT FOR 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR!

Essential Functions:

Assisting Blind students and classroom teachers in executing programs focused on academics, vocational, independent living, transitional and social growth. Will assist persons with blindness and or low vision. Tutoring students when difficulties arise. Supervising students in classroom cafeteria, hallways, playground, restroom. Escorting students to different areas of the school. Assisting in emergency situations. Assisting students with emotional, physical and personal needs. Assisting in day to day.

Qualifications:

1-3 years as a Home Healthcare Aide or Classroom Student Aide experience. Degree in Early Childhood Education or Special Education preferred. Experience working with autistic or MD children preferred. Ability to clear federal background check and drug screen. CPR certification preferred. Day Shift - Mon-Fri 7:30am-3:30pm Candidate must be local to Columbus, Ohio for consideration.

MUST HAVE

Valid Drivers License. Vehicle or Transportation. #PSI1
