Job Summary:
We are seeking a creative and compassionate Direct Support Professional for our echoingU program. This position is responsible for assisting echoingU students in experiencing educational, habilitation, community involvement, and work/skill training as well as providing and implementing consistent programming and engaging classroom activities.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive medical care and support, including transfers, driving, first aid, and emergency response. Assist in fulfilling echoingU's mission and values, promoting Christian activities, and building community partnerships. Support student integration, experience-based learning, and networking, organizing events and coordinating projects. Ensure safe and compliant transportation for students to and from echoingU and during daily activities. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in accordance with regulations. Assist in program development, creating curriculum, and representing echoingU professionally in the community. Perform additional duties as needed, including committee work, special projects, and emergency support.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in a habilitation or educational setting along with coursework toward a higher education is preferred. Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a similar role is highly desired. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others. Reliable and responsible with excellent time management skills. Valid driver's license required along with an insurable driving record according to the Echoing Hills Village insurance carriers. We offer careers that provide you opportunities to grow and advance.
