This position supports a client located in Dublin, Ohio . The RolePosition Summary As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with Frontline Healthcare LLC, you will provide individualized, person-centered support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in home and community-based settings. You will assist individuals in achieving personal goals outlined in their Individual Service Plan (ISP), promote independence, ensure health and safety, and help foster meaningful community inclusion. All services are provided in alignment with the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) standards, rules, and regulations. ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties & Responsibilities Personal Care & Daily Living Support Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, hygiene, dressing, toileting, and mobility Support individuals with meal planning, meal preparation, feeding assistance, and nutrition needs based on care plans Assist with household tasks including cleaning, laundry, organizing, and maintaining a safe living environment Support with shopping, errands, and budgeting as needed Individual Service Plan (ISP) Implementation Perform all tasks and duties according to each individual's ISP and prioritize goals accordingly Implement individualized training strategies, skill-building activities, and person-centered goals Support and advance each individual's decision-making, productivity, and participation in daily activities Promote independence in work, learning, leisure, and community life Serve as a Primary Person (P2) for assigned individuals, ensuring consistent, high-quality support Health, Safety & Medication Monitor individuals for changes in physical, emotional, or behavioral health and report concerns promptly to a supervisor Follow all health and welfare guidelines, infection control, and universal precautions in accordance with DODD regulations Administer medications and treatments in compliance with the Medication Administration Training (MAT) certification and agency policy Implement safety plans, behavioral support plans, and risk mitigation strategies as directed Maintain and document records of any participant accidents or incidents as required Notify supervisors immediately of any concerns or changes regarding an individual's health, safety, or welfare Community Inclusion & Social Engagement Support and accompany individuals in participating in community activities, outings, events, and recreational opportunities Facilitate inclusion in community experiences in alignment with each individual's goals and interests Provide transportation for individuals to and from appointments, community events, and other activities Encourage and support the development of social skills, communication, and meaningful relationships Foster positive relationships and meaningful daily engagement with individuals, families, and team members Documentation & Compliance Complete accurate and timely data collection, daily progress notes, and observation reports per agency policy and DODD requirements Maintain all required records and submit reports as directed Uphold all DODD rules, regulations, and Ohio Administrative Code compliance standards at all times Comply with the agency's policies and procedures, including confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines Participate in scheduled staff meetings, training sessions, and all required in-service education Team & Professional Responsibilities Participate as an active member of each individual's support team Serve as a positive role model and mentor to fellow DSPs when applicable Complete all DODD-required annual training, including the two hours of department-provided training per year Perform additional duties as assigned that are necessary and appropriate to enhance and normalize the lives of those we support QualificationsRequirements & Preferred QualificationsRequired Must be at least 18 years of age Valid Ohio Driver's License and reliable transportation Current auto insurance Successful completion of BCI and FBI criminal background check Ability to complete and pass Medication Administration Training (MAT) Ability to complete all DODD-required training within the required timeframe CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Prior experience working with individuals with IDD or developmental disabilities Existing DODD required annual training certifications Experience with behavior support plans Coursework in Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, or related field Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting others Ability to work flexible part-time hours including evenings or weekends What We Offer Flexible part-time scheduling Supportive, family-oriented team culture Training and professional development provided Meaningful, rewarding work that makes a real difference every day Competitive pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour Frontline Healthcare LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
